Official Shopify Theme Released with Fashion Shops in Mind

We are happy to introduce our newest official theme Couture, a theme designed with (high) fashion shops in mind. Couture features some exciting new web technologies such as Google WebFonts, HTML5, and a few custom Javascript goodies thrown in for good measure. What that means for you and your Shopify store is that you get a beautiful theme designed with the latest web standards and the future in mind.

Google WebFonts provides a great way to embed unique typefaces onto your website. Previously, it has been difficult to get non-native fonts to play nice on the web. Couture comes with Google WebFonts embedded into the Theme Settings. You can easily select from up to 20 typefaces that Google WebFonts provides.

Don’t want to use Google WebFonts? No problem; you can also use Cufon to display your typefaces or kick it old school with default web safe fonts. All three are good options but we would suggest using Google WebFonts if you don't have an own custom-designed logo.

A few other notable features include the custom built Javascript product slider, navigation dropdowns that are easy to customize, and a recently viewed products section on each product page (Javascript is required, however).

Here are a few screenshots of Couture’s default presets Arioso and Faust.

The new Couture theme has been carefully crafted in-house at Shopify and the best part about it it’s absolutely free. We hope you like it!
